I'm happy with how this turned out. I was inspired by Greek cameo designs of Medusa.

Giving in to Live Journal - New Digital Artwork

Dec. 23rd, 2006 | 11:12 pm
location: Portland, OR
mood: artistic artistic

Over the years I've joined countless websites/journals/art galleries/blogs, but most of them have lost popularity or quality over time (IE: Epilogue, ArtWanted, Elfwood etc.) I recently put together a small portfolio at DeviantArt, which I'm pretty pleased with since it's such a great way to browse other artist's work.

I keep running into awesome LiveJournal groups and art you can't find anywhere else though. So here I am! I'll be using this mainly to join groups/add art friends and post some new artwork.

I'm not sure how often I'll be posting here, but if you'd like to see the rest of my art check it out at www.TheEnchantedGallery.com

Self Portrait in the Art Nouveau Style

Dec. 22nd, 2006 | 12:46 am
mood: nervous nervous

Alphonse Mucha's painting "Ivy" is one of my all-time favorites, so I did my self portrait in watercolor and ink in that style. I'm happy with how it turned out, but it was too big for the scanner so the image quality suffered. I hope you all like it :)
